Requesting information, amendment and destruction of data

You may request details of all the personal information that I hold about you under the Data Protection Legislation. If you would like a copy of the information held on you, please write to Nerys Donaldson at the postal address given above.

If you believe that any information I am holding on you is incorrect or incomplete, please write to or email me as soon as possible, at the above address. I will correct any information found to be incorrect within 28 days of receipt of that request.

You are also entitled to request that any Data I hold on you is destroyed or erased, and I shall comply with that request within 28 days of receipt of that request. For insurance purposes Sheer Therapy is required to retain records for 7 years from the date of your last appointment. What data do I hold and how do I use it?

Sheer Therapy gathers and retains personal information about you when you voluntarily submit it. For example, if you choose to complete and submit a contact form via the Website’s “Contact us” page, we will use the data you submit to respond to your enquiry.

You may also have contacted us via email for more information and again we will use the data you submit to respond to your enquiry. We will retain the information you submitted and may use or disclose your information as provided in this Privacy Policy.

You are under no obligation to provide any personal data.  However, we may ask you for your name, address, e-mail address and telephone number. We will only collect personal information from you which you have provided to us, so please do not submit your personal data to us if you do not wish us to collect it.

We may ask for further information from you, such as your current and past health and any medical conditions, in order to carry out professional services as holistic therapist and to provide you with advice and guidance about the situation for which you would like our help. In all instances it is entirely your choice as to whether you provide such information.


We are committed to ensuring that your information is secure. In order to prevent unauthorised access or disclosure we have put in place procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect online and physically via the handwritten notes taken at your appointments.
